Join us for a night of chinese dumpling making with neighbours Lynne and Canna!

 

We will be making 4 different types of dumplings and 2 different types of soup from North and South China.

(Arrive early (5pm) if you would like to learn dumpling dough making as this needs time to rest.)

 

Approx timings;

5.00pm: Dumpling Dough making 

5.30pm: Soup preparation and cooking

6.00pm: Dumpling filling preparation (in 4 teams)*

7.00pm: Dumpling Wrapping and Cooking (steamed and fried)

8.00pm: 3 course meal of Dumplings, Soup and Sticky Rice Cakes served with Black and Red teas

 

*Dumplings will be made in 4 teams to avoid cross contamination of ingredients for those with food preferences or allergies and to ensure efficiency. You will be able to try all dumpling flavours at dinner and will get the recipies to take home.

 

There will be a prize for the best dumpling wrapper on the night judged by our head chefs Canna and Lynne.

 

GREEN TEAM: Vegetarian

BLUE TEAM: Prawn

RED: Beef

YELLOW: Pork

 

The cost includes all the ingredients so you just need to bring your apron and a chopping knife if you have one.
